Catherine Bookwalter, 83, of Akron, passed away October 16, 2013. She was born in Stow on March 24, 1930 to the late Frederick and Anna Ullrich. Catherine loved music and was a devoted member of the Ohio Country Western Music Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elroy and grandson, Kenneth. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Rebecca Osborne; grandchildren, Robert and Rebecca Ann; three stepchildren; two brothers; two sisters; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday October 21 from 11-1 followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service with Pastor Larry Knight officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
