Catherine W. Rich, 87, died February 3, 2014.
She was born in Livingston, Tennessee and lived most of her life in Akron. She was a homemaker and member of the Brown St. Church of Christ.
"Kay" was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Homer E. Rich; father, Perry Winningham; mother, Bertha Winningham Hunter; brother, Jerry Winningham; sister, Francis Brown; and son-in-law, James T. Stewart.
She is survived by daughters, Betty (Samuel) Raisch, Beverly (George) Richards, Barbara (Gary) Fouse and Brenda Privara; 11 grandchildren, Stacey Stewart, George Richards, Kimberly Stewart Marietta, Lisa Richards Asburry, Jennifer Stewart Bullock, Benjamin Fouse, Dawn Privara Hazel, Joel Fouse, Paul Privara, Sarah Fouse Secreto, and Rachel Richards Grotz; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters, Delores (Raleigh) Vaughn and Sue Shoupe; as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank the Summa Palliative Care staff for their compassionate care of our mother.
Per our mother's wishes, there will be a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Summa Palliative Care Unit.
