Cathy A. Housley (Nee Piper)
Cathy A. Housley (nee Piper), 55, passed away on February 16, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer. Cathy was a veteran of the US Air Force, having served from 1973 to 1981. She also volunteered at the Akron Zoo and Hale Farm and Village. Preceded in death by her husband, Frank; parents, Robert and Helen Piper; and brother, Randy. Survivors include her sister, Judi Wilson; brother, Larry (Cindy) Piper; nieces and nephews, Michelle (Ron) Piper-VanderBand, Greg (Ruth) Piper, Brian Wilson, Jennifer DeYoung, Kami Wilson; and numerous other family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, 1 p.m., at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
