Cathy L. Fusselman
March 2, 1957 — June 3, 2023
Cathy L. Fusselman, 66, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on June 3, 2023. She lived her life with integrity, honesty and a heart filled with love for all people. Cathy was born in Akron, Ohio on March 2, 1957, to the late Eleanor and Harold Butcher.
Cathy devoted 33 years as a Direct Caregiver at many Group Homes in Summit County. Prior to her retirement her last employer was Ardmore Inc. In addition to her employment, Cathy opened her home and shared holidays with her clients and her family. Caring for others was her calling. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved spending her time in Florida with her family and friends.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Valarie Butcher Gosen, of Barberton, Ohio and Aaron (Mandy) Fusselman, of Vero Beach, Florida. Cathy's surviving Ohio grandchildren are Kenzie Butcher, Spencer Yavorsky, Kayleigh Boggs, Kerri Boggs and Ivy Yavorsky. Cathy's surviving Florida grandchildren are Sadie Fusselman, Lydia Fusselman and Evie Fusselman; Also, Cathy is survived by her sister, Tracy (Steve) Shawbell; her nephews, Bryan Jones and Ryan (Stacy) Shawbell; great niece, Makaylee Jones; great nephews, Devin and Aiden Shawbell; her Florida family; Kent and Kim Hawkins; her best friend, Sue Herb; along with many cousins and close friends.
Per Cathy's wishes cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Community Life Church, 106 S. Cleveland Avenue, Mogadore, OH 44260 on Monday, June 26, 2023. Visitation will start at 5:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. with a service to follow at 5:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.
