Charles C. Bolyard

Charles C. Bolyard, 86, of Akron, passed away May 7, 2006. Charles was born August 20, 1919 in Preston County, WV to the late Arley and Elva Bolyard. Charles served in WWII. He was a member of the VFW Post #8487 and Mogadore Moose Club. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in 1972. After a wonderful, long, fulfilled life, he will join hands in Heaven with his loving wife of 60 years, Adalaide, son, Terry Bolyard, and son-in-law James Ward. Charles will be sadly missed and always remembered by his only daughter, Jean Ward, stepmother Adis Bolyard, brother Leo Bolyard, sister Geraldine Wiles, daughter-in-law Marilyn Bolyard and very special friend and companion Lillian Hinkle, sisters-in-law Della Partyka and Sue Bolyard, dear and dedicated granddaughter, Robin (Vern) Newman, grandchildren Jim (Kristy) Ward, Kim Baugh, Bobbi (Mike) Terranova, Dan Bolyard, Rick (Christy) Bolyard, Scott Bolyard, great-grandchildren Tiffanie, Jimmy, Stephanie, Lisa, Tommy, Whyatt, Bethany, Mackenzie, Jill, Olivia, Kylie, Katelyn, Chase, great-great-grandchildren Bailey and Kage; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Summit Villa Nursing Home and Hospice of Summa for all of their help and special care given to their loved one. Calling hours will be Saturday, 10 to 11 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service immediately following at 11 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
