Charles C. Foutty
Charles "Red" Foutty, 73, passed away March 23, 2009. Red was born in Elizabeth, WV and came to Ohio when he was 18. He was employed by J. Rayl as a truck driver for 28 years, and was a member of Teamsters Local #24. Red had a passion for truck driving, was a great story teller and everybody was a friend to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Beatrice Foutty; brothers, William, Okie and Howard Foutty; and sisters, Imogene Fultz, Thelma Copen and Lucille Jones. Red is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Ronnette; son, Tim Foutty; daughters, Lonna Rector (Greg), Alana Drobny (Ken) and Cindy Hause (Mike); grandchildren, LeAnn Cannon, Susan Vasaris, Melissa Mullinax, Derek Drobny, Michael Hause and Nicholas Hause; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Exline; brother, Oscar Hickman; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday, March 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Matthews officiating. Interment at Sunset Hills Memorial Park.
