Charles Earl Rollyson, 60, went home to be with Jesus on October 7, 2009. He was born on May 3, 1949 in Gassaway, WV and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. Earl volunteered at the Brecksville VA Hospital for 18 years and enjoyed riding his Harley. He enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends and reaching out to veterans in need. Earl was a member of the Maranatha Bible Church, VFW, DAV and Rolling Thunder Chapter 2. Preceded in death by his father, Charles Rollyson. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Deloris; daughter, Tamela; sons, Jason, Justin and fiancé, Robyn, Jordan and Joshua; grandchildren, Cheryl, Tyler and Dustin; mother, Dorcas; brother, Michael (Eva); and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held Thursday, October 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held Friday, October 9, at 12 noon with Pastor Steve Marshall officiating. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
