Charles Boykin (Hank), 77, died March 14, 2009 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Akron to the late John and Addie Boykin. He was a military police officer in the Korean War. He retired from the Ford Plant Walton Hills after 33 years of service. Hank enjoyed being an avid Harley rider. Preceded in death by his brother, Jim; sister, Florence; and grandson, Todd Murdock. Survivors include his loving wife of almost 55 years, June; sons, Gary (Donna) McMackin and Charles Boykin; daughters, Desiree (Bob) Arnold and Lisa (Sid) Adams; brother, Bill; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Wednesday, March 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, with a memorial service following at 7 p.m. with Rev. Kim Lawrence officiating.
