Charles K. Hatfield
Charles K. Hatfield, 66, passed away after his long, courageous battle with cancer on April 25, 2009. Charles was born October 13, 1942 in Man, West Virginia. He was full of life and will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. Charles had many interests, including bowling, baseball, and fishing. He was a member of Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Moss and Bessi Hatfield; in-laws, Ralph and Frieda Cook; three brothers; one sister; and one grandchild. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 47 years, Wanda; children, Chuck (Terrilyn), Kevin (Yvette), Tonya (Hernan) Restrepo, Ralph, Rocky, and granddaughter/daughter, Nicole (Richard) Wakehouse; six sisters; three brothers; grandchildren, Chucky, Chad, Amber, Kevin, Alexis, Brian, Megan, Haley, Christina (Anthony), Tonya, and Robert; extended family, John Oliveras; special friend, Maude Eunice; neighbor and hospice nurse, Norma Beck; dog, Ralphie; and many other relatives and friends. Family and friends may call TODAY from 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. with visitation for one hour prior, Pastors Kenneth Frisbee and Ron Bauman officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of VNS or the American Cancer Society.
