Charles E. Meadows

Charles E. Meadows, 70, of Alliance, passed away March 25, 2008 at Alliance Community Hospital. He was born July 8, 1937 in Grundy, Virginia to the late Merkle & Irna Meadows. Charles retired from Alkar, Inc. and had worked at McNeil Akron for over 20 years. He was a member of the NRA and a proud member of the Portage/Summit Field & Stream Club. He loved Blue Grass Music and enjoyed traveling to Nashville with Shirley. He is survived by his daughters, Sherry (John) Rock, Dawna Scheetz and Theresa Bordick; son, Brian Meadows; grandchildren, Danuel, Ashley, Shelby, Loren, Katie, Brandon and Tabatha; 3 great-grandchildren; special friend, Shirley; numerous other family including nieces and nephews; and many friends. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Bob Shuey officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
