Charles L. Miller

Charles L. Miller "Chuck", 62, of Akron, passed away suddenly on October 14, 2022. Chuck was born in Akron on November 25, 1959 to the late Robert and Linda Miller. He graduated from Springfield High School, where he played numerous sports. Chuck was passionate about sports his entire life. He played softball as an adult and was a fan of the Indians and the Browns.
Chuck's other love was family and vacations at Lake Erie. He was outgoing and made new friends wherever he went. Chuck was well-loved and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Miller and half-brothers, Russ and Mike Miller.
He is survived by his fiance, Chris Sladek; sister, Sue; nephew, Spencer Miller; niece and nephew, Amy and Matthew Miller; best friend of over 40 years, Dale Ashby; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 5-8 followed by an 8:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Services will be casual - please feel free to wear your favorite sports attire. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
