Charles "Charlie" Olin Perine, age 75 of Akron, Ohio, passed away on October 2, 2021 peacefully in his home.
Charlie was born on April 6, 1946 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to William and Justine (Carson) Perine. He served in the US Marine Corp from 1966 to 1972. Charlie married the love of his life, Sandra on June 23, 1972. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Charlie loved to sing and create Snap Chats. He liked to watch Westerns, football, and the news. Charlie had a huge, generous heart, and would give someone the shirt off his back. He had a wonderful sense of humor and made friends easily. He was mostly known as Dad or Grandpa to everyone, not just family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, grandson, James Golden, son-in-law, Kenny Ryneer, and multiple brothers and sisters.
Charlie is survived by children, Donna Bauch, Dawn Perine, Michele Ryneer, Melody (Albert) Golden, and Toby Perine, grandchildren, Kristan (Josh) Bell, Shaun (Tierney) Bauch, Tabatha (Vance) Woodall, Joshua Smith, Anthony (Reva) Ernst, Alyssa (Jeff) Mills, Megan (Jason) Mills, Amanda (Brandon) Smith, Christopher Baker, Robert (Crystal) Baker, Tiffany (Correy aka Corky) Hood, Al'isha Williams, and Jackson Staton, 31 great grandchildren, multiple siblings, and special nephew, Jerry Perine.
Friends and family may come to call on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron. Services will follow at 12:30 p.m. Inurnment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
