Charles J. Pierce "Curly"
Charles J. Pierce, 76, of Akron, died January 28, 2006 following a brief illness. He was a life resident of the Akron area and retired from Ohio Edison after 32 years of service. Memberships included the Mogadore Moose 1082, Akron Eagles, Army-Navy Club of Akron and the Turner Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Rose Pierce; son, Frank Pierce; and brother, Harry Pierce. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Alfreda (Rohr) Pierce; daughters, Nita (Ray) Thacker, Melba (Ron) Sparks; brothers, Ralph, Jerry, Marvin and Rudy Pierce; grandchildren, Ray, Charles, Matthew, Amy, Brynn and Todd. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Mike Williamson officiating.
