Charles R. Queer, Sr., 81, went to be with the Lord on December 11, 2013.
Charles was born in Somerset, PA on July 8, 1932 to the late Nevin and Henrietta Queer. He retired from Goodyear in 1994 after 43 years of service. Charles attended Chapel Hill Church and was an avid fisherman. A "Jack of all trades", he enjoyed woodworking, gardening and home improvement projects.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara, of 56 years; sons, Charles "Richard" (Patti), Mitch (Diana), and David (Jodi); daughter, Keeli (Jim) Strub; grandchildren, Michelle, Ryan, Jessica, Mariah, Hali, Ashli, Bayli, Kyli, Brooke, and Rachael; great-grandson, Ethan; brother, Ernest (Roberta).
Calling hours will be Friday, 5-8 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A funeral service will be held Saturday, 10 a.m., at Chapel Hill Church, 1160 Howe Ave., Cuyahoga Falls. Interment at Tallmadge Cemetery.
