Charles Robert "Bob" Mills

Charles Robert "Bob" Mills, age 77, passed away on April 5, 2009. Born in Akron, Ohio on July 10, 1931 to the late Bill and Bertha Mills, Bob spent most of his life in the Akron area. He graduated from East High School in 1949. Bob was an Army Veteran of the Korean War having served as a radar/computer repairman in the signal corps. He retired from the Prudential Insurance Company as an agent and registered representative. Bob was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Master in Akron. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of 44 years; brother Jerry (Sandy) Mills, of Akron; four children and their spouses, Cathy (George) Csanyi, of Jeromesville, Judi (Dan) Willison, of Mogadore, Cathy (Jim) Cika, of Brunswick, and Susan Klatt, of Parma; grandchildren Wesley, Trisha, Jay, and Elise Sigler and Anora and Leah Willison; and great-grandchild Aiden. Calling hours will be Thursday, 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Methodist Church of the Master, 800 East Market St., Akron, OH 44305.
