Charles S. Ruark, "Chuck", age 67 of Akron, Ohio, died on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at his home.
He was born on July 7, 1951, the son of the late Vernon W. and Mary (nee Jobe) Ruark, Sr.
Chuck worked for Cardinal Asphalt as a laborer for many years. He enjoyed fishing, collecting antiques and knives, working on cars, and playing billiards.
Survivors include his daughter, Lorie (Buddy) Kim; his granddaughter, Brittany Patterson; and his great-grandson, Justin Bowman. His siblings also survive, Patricia Ann Piper, Michael (Heidi) Ruark, and Kevin Ruark; and several nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, Charles was preceded in death by wife, Marla Ruark; his siblings, Dale A. Ruark and Vernon W. "Bill" Ruark, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the home of his daughter, Lorie and Buddy Kim, 199 Davenport Avenue, Akron, on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home-Akron.
