Charles W. Staats

Charles W. Staats, 92, of Akron, passed away December 8, 2007 at the Hospice Care Center. He was born March 22, 1915 in Akron, Ohio to the late William & Ola (Greenly) Staats. Charles proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a Tech Sergeant. He retired from B.F. Goodrich after 40 years of service. In his free time, he loved woodworking. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lois (Warner) Staats; daughter and son-in-law, Karen & David Stevens of Colorado; son and daughter-in-law, Gary & Suzanne Staats of Uniontown; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
