Charles "Charlie" Ray Welch

Charles "Charlie" Ray Welch, 81, was welcomed into the open arms of our Lord on May 31, 2021. He was born in Lebanon, PA, traveled half of his life with a carnival circuit, lived in the Tampa, FL area with his family and finally settled down in Akron. Charlie was a loving husband, father and brother. He enjoyed wood working, Welch's Wonders (Hartville Flea Market), baseball, sports, and cruising with his wife Delores. He retired from Bemis Printing.

Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Perry Welch; mother, Frances Helen Murphy Cross; and brothers, William Lee Welch and Marshall Welch. He is survived by his beloved wife, Delores; son, Robert Starcher (Kerri); daughter, Tami Mulpas (Joe); grandchildren, Tracy, Bobby, Felicia, Will, Josh, Hanna, Jeremiah and Brandon; loving sister, Frances "Cissie" Brennan; nephews, Billy Welch, Bobby Welch, Stevie Jordan, Marshall Welch (Gracie) and Bobby Buxton (Sandi); and niece, Nancy Hulslander.

Visitation will be held from 11am - 1pm on Friday, June 4 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral at 1pm. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park in Akron to follow.
