Charley Wayne Shakan
Charley Wayne Shakan, 64, passed away suddenly on February 2, 2006. Charley proudly served four years in the U.S. Navy. He retired from SBC as a lineman after 30 + years of service. He was a member of Communications Workers Union Local 4302. Charley was dedicated to his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Charley is survived by his wife, Charlotte; children, Brian, Richard, Cheryl Hillman, and Beverly Darrow; brothers, Bill and Leonard (Debbie); sister, Marie Royer; grandchildren, Cara (Toby), Tyler, Richard Jr., Daniel, Cody, and Cayla. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
