Charlie T. (Herman) Schramm was called to heaven on April 29, 2022 and is now looking in the eyes of Jesus . Charlie (nicknamed Stick) was born in Akron on May 4th and spent the majority of his life in the Ellet Community.
Charlie was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Roy and Mildred Schramm, Maternal Great Grandmother Virginia Craddock, Grandad Alonzo Carpenter, Grandfather Charles Hulmes, Special Aunt Juanita Zimmerman and his dearly loved son, Noah Ryan Schramm.
Charlie is survived by his loving parents- Ron and Sherry Schramm, and his best friend, dedicated loving wife and soul mate of 28 years, Renee (Deova) Schramm, daughter Ashley (Aaron), sons Charlie (Leeann), Caleb, Craig (Savannah), Jeremy (Mary) and Robert (Morgan). He was the best Papa to his grandchildren that were the highlights of his life: Nevaeh, Xavier, Landon, Hadley, Beau (due soon), Joey and Ali. He leaves behind siblings: Ron "Smokie" (Mary K) Schramm Jr., Susie (Blair) Valentine, and Gina Fay (Jerry Cottrell), Grandmother Lillian Hulmes, Aunt and Uncle Les and Virginia Dewey. Nieces and nephews: Jimmy (Brooke) Valentine, Justine Valentine (Mark Constantino), Josh (Sara) Valentine, Anthony (Julie) Newman, Jonathan Newman, Tiffany (Brian) Wolfe, Adam (Staci) Schramm, Jake (Alecia) Schramm, Amanda Schramm, and a second generation of close multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends: Bryan (Sadie) Benham.
Charlie was very well known for his humor and quick wit. His laugh was contagious and his heart was enormous. His love of family came first in all things and everything else followed. Charlie enjoyed trips to Myrtle Beach with his family along with their outings to Sugar Creek, and the Alive Christian Concerts. Charlie was an avid sports fan; he always followed and favored the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State football. He enjoyed coaching not only his own children but others that loved "Coach Schramm" in Ellet Youth, where he coached basketball, baseball, football and wrestling. He never missed any of his children's sporting events. He would constantly run up and down the sidelines yelling at whichever one was out there at that time. He was extremely proud of his children. You were a stranger to him only once, and then you were fair game for any prank, sarcastic remark (innocently) or literally whatever it took to make you laugh. Charlie worked for Summit Racing, where he made a lasting impression-making life long friends that became his extended family.
We extend a special thank you to the ICU Staff at Summa (City) Hospital.
