Charlotte Mollette

Charlotte (Jean) Mollette 86, went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 19, 1931 in Kentucky to the late Roy and Agnes Shaver. Her family moved to Ohio when she was 11 years old, where she spent the rest of her life. Her family was the most important thing in her life and she never wanted to be a burden to her family. Jean stayed home and raised her family and then worked part time later in life but mostly cared for her husband and family. She loved playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They all enjoyed having visits and sleepovers at Grandmas. She was also an avid Cleveland Sports fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Richard; brother, Roy Jr.; and granddaughter, Julie Mollette. She is survived by her children, Linda (John) Brady of Findlay, OH, Rick (Melanie) Mollette of Barberton, OH and Barbara (John) Garkovich of Springfield Twp; brother, Harold Shaver of Akron; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Monday November 27, 2017 from 12-1pm with the funeral service immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305. Pastor Mark O'Donnell officiating. Interment Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Summa Hospice and The Rescue Squad of Mogadore, OH.
