Chase David Joseph Dear or Adam David Joseph Givens, age 34 of Barberton, Ohio, died on November 4, 2019 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna.
He was born in Akron on January 24, 1985, the son of Ann (Philip David Hill, Jr.) Givens-Hill of Barberton and the late Greg Givens.
Chase was a 2004 graduate of Massillon High School. He worked for Giant Eagle in Barberton. Chase enjoyed hanging out with his friends. He had two dogs, Kahlin and Rahl, they were the joy of his life.
Other than his mother and step-father, Chase is survived by his siblings, Jason Givens and Heather Givens; his nephew and niece, Aden and Aubrey Gibbs; his maternal grandfather, David Joseph Rataj, Sr., his step-grandmother, Nancy (nee Haley) Hill and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that mourn his loss.
Other than his father, Chase was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary (nee Brzezinski) Rataj, his paternal grandparents, Eugene and Greta (nee Elliott) Givens and his step-grandfather, Philip David Hill, Sr.
There will a Memorial Mass at a later date (please contact the family for information) and arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
