Cheeri A. Gilmore
Cheeri A. Gilmore, 62, passed away February 16, at Hospice Care Center. She was born August 13, 1945 to the late Carl and Laura (Hines) Beck. Cheeri was a member of Millheim Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Douglas Carl Gilmore; sister-in-law, Nipp Beck; and brother-in-laws Joe Melesky; Joe Marshione. Cheeri is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert L. Gilmore, Sr, of Akron; daughter, Patricia (Jim) Kicos, of Hartville; sons, Robert L. Gilmore, of Florida, William Schraider of Akron; grandchildren, Tony Girard, Amber and Traci Vandegrift, James II, and Justin Kicos; sisters, Betty Melesky of Akron, Connie (Obey) King, of Akron, Barbara Marshione of Akron, Jenine (Jack) Nelson of Akron, Beverley (Les) Lassiter of Tennessee; brothers Joe Beck of Edinburg, and James (Vera) Burton of Alabama. Friends and family may call Wednesday, February 20 from 11 to 1 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd Akron, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made at any First Merit Bank location in memory of Cheeri Gilmore.
