Cherie Ann Anslovar

Cherie A. Anslovar, 81, of Akron, passed away September 18, 2023 at Brookdale Senior Living in Montrose. She was born August 3, 1942 to the late Alvin and Bernice {Urbaugh} Moose.
In addition to her parents, Cherie was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Moose.
Born and raised in western PA, Cherie completed her nursing education at Jameson School of Nursing. Upon graduation, Cherie moved to Ohio, working as a nurse at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, where she met Dr. Joseph Anslovar. They later married on July 17, 1965, and spent 58 wonderful years together. They were longtime members of St. Francis de Sales Parish, and made their home in Barberton, where Cherie continued her career at Barberton Citizen's Hospital. Cherie cherished her daughter Amy, contributing to her education and championing her admission into Julie Billart School.
Cherie is survived by her loving husband, Joseph; daughter Amy.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Thursday, September 28th from 12:00 pm. until the funeral service begins at 1:00 pm with Father Jeremy Merzweiler officiating.
