Cherie Ann Delgado, age 85 of Akron passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. A lifelong resident of the Akron area, Cherie was born on July 4, 1936 to the late Barnie and Dorothy {Hatfield} Butcher.
Cherie will always be loved and forever missed by her sons Gary (Dorothy), Bryan and Perry Delgado; beloved grandson Justin; grand-kitty Pancake.
Cherie was a quick-witted, warm-hearted pistol. Her love and talent for dancing led to a go-go career that supported herself and her three boys. She was well-known, and her magnetic personality drew friends from all walks of life. Cherie's letters to some of her favorite actors resulted in several connections, phone calls and autographs in return.
Per Cherie's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of her life will be held at a date and location soon to be determined. To leave a message for Cherie's family, please scroll below.
