Cherie R. Falcone, age 72 of Akron, Ohio, passed away on December 21, 2021 at Akron General Hospital.
She was born on October 28, 1949 in Akron, the daughter of the late Frank and Ruth Booth.
Cherie was a graduate of Southern Ohio College, obtaining an Associates Degree. She worked for Suburban Medical Laboratories for 12 years as a phlebotomist and data entry clerk before moving to Lantana, Florida with her mother.
Cherie enjoyed playing cards and bingo until she became addicted to the internet and then she played on-line games.
Survivors include her children, Melanie "Mel" (Micky) Mauck and Christopher "Chris" (Poppy Moritz) Falcone; four grandchildren, Alecia, Kaiden, Loghan and Emily; her siblings, Robert "Bob" Chalman, Robin (Lisa) Chalman and Randy (Margo) Booth; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that mourn her loss.
She also has step-children that survive, Susan Ours and Kelley (Larry) Folden; and there were many others who called her mom and grandma.
Other than her parents, Cherie was preceded in death by her husband, Curt Falcone; her step-daughter, Dawn Garrett; her sister-in-law, Pam Chalman; and step-son-in-law, Gus Ours.
Per her wishes, there will not be any calling hours or services and all arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
