Cheryl Ann Marie Hipple

Cheryl Ann Marie Hipple, 68, of Mogadore, passed away on September 12, 2020 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She graduated from Garfield High School and retired from Akron General Medical Center after 30 years of service. Family was her life! Cheryl enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids as well as doing her housecleaning and gardening and taking care of her pool. She also loved shopping at Burlington Coat Factory and eating at Olive Garden.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years and high school sweetheart, Jim; parents, Christina and John Scalzo; brothers, Jack and Louie Scalzo; and sister, Margie Scalzo.

She will be sadly missed by daughters, Nicole (Jeff) Stevens, Jennifer Lowry and Jamie (Dave) Beyers; grandkids, Shelby, Jesse, Emili, Danielle, Alex and Bailey; great-granddaughters; Sabrina and Elliana; brothers, Joseph Scalzo and Raymond (Becky) Scalzo; sisters, Kathy (Rick) Harbaugh and Anna (Thomas) Dies; and best friend, Diana.

Family and friends are welcome to visit at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 from 4 to 7 p.m. with a service to immediately follow. Due to Covid-19 concerns, please expect to wear masks and practice social distancing.
