Cheryl Anne O'dear, 76, passed away May 3, 2022 after an extended illness. Born in Akron, Ohio to Cecil and Gloria (Mater) O'dear, she was a lifelong area resident. She retired from the University of Akron after working as a secretary for 25 years. Cheryl enjoyed going to the Amish Country, watching Ohio State football and basketball games, horses, specifically clydesdales and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her brother, David O'dear. She will be sadly missed by her children, Jason Hess, Stefani (Jim) Ippolito; grandchildren, Cassie, Nick, Savannah, Aiden; sister, Pat (Bill) Schwenk; sister-in-law, Diane; best friend, Rosie (Fred); many nieces, nephews and friends.
Per Cheryl's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a private celebration of her life at a later date.
