Cheryl Rae Pifer, age 71 of Atwater passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021. She was born in Akron on November 11, 1949 to the late Elbert and Dorothy {Woody} Thornton.
In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her sisters Marilyn "Jo" Robison and Betty Miller, and brother Jim Thornton.
Cheryl's memory will always be cherished by her husband of 42 years, Howard; sons Andy (Chelsea) and Adam (Lauren) Pifer; grandchildren Luna-Marie Pifer, Benji and Veda Pifer.
Cheryl's first passion was being a hairdresser, but that changed when she became a Grandma. Outside of loving and spoiling her grandbabies, her hobbies included reading, shopping and watching her hummingbirds.
Per Cheryl's wishes, there will be no formal services. Cheryl will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park at a later date. To leave a message for Cheryl's family, please scroll below.
