Chris Barkoukis, 80, passed away on November, 5, 2011. The son of Peter and Thana Barkoukis. He was born in Akron, Ohio on August 21, 1931.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Corene; stepson, Andrew (Debbie) Corbett; step-daughters, Dawn Corbett (Charley Waldrep), Pamela (Terry Shannon)Steele; many grand-children, great-grandchildren and great-great-granddaughter; brothers, Gregory (Louise), Tom (Roberta); sister, JoAnn (Stanley) Theodosion; many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, November 10, from 4 – 7 PM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Trisagion service will take place at 6:30 PM. The funeral service will be on Friday, November 11th, 11 AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church with Father Jerry Hall officiating. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
