Christine Lyn Boden, "Chris", age 51 of Tallmadge Ohio, died on December 27, 2021 at Amherst Manor.
She was born on August 21, 1970 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Beverly (nee Hershberger) Burkett, with whom she lived with and the late David Burkett.
Chris graduated from Field High School and then the University of Akron with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. She was a security for Akron Children's Hospital for several years but due to illness she had to retire.
She enjoyed dancing and being with her friends. Her greatest joy was spending her time with her children, and just recently became a grandmother for the first time.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her sons, Jay Paul Boden Jr. and Trevor Boden; her grandson, Byron Boden; her siblings, Karen Burkett and David (Stephanie Latimer) Burkett; and one nephew, Daivd Konner Burkett; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that mourn her loss.
Other than her father, Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Paul Boden Sr.; and her grandparents, Paul and Frances (nee Woodard) Hershberger, Edna (nee Silcox) Hershberger, Walter Hershberger, George and Maxine (nee Wolf) Burkett.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio, where Pastor Michael Tanksley will celebrate Christine's life.
Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Huntington's Disease Foundation, in Christine's memory.
