Christine Ann Boyd-Friend

Christine Ann Boyd-Friend, 53, of Akron went to be with Jesus along with her fiance, David "Jay" Edwards II on May 20, 2017.
She devoted herself to her family and especially loved being Mamaw to her granddaughter. Christine was preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Boyd and brother, John Boyd Jr. She will be deeply missed by her children, Carmella Friend (Tim Duffield) and Ronald Friend; father, John Boyd Sr.; granddaughter, Johannah Jade "JJ" Duffield; siblings, Carmella Chapman, Joseph (Karen) Boyd, Cathie (James) Edwards, Cindy (William) Strickland; nieces and nephews, Shannon, Shawn, Ben, Tiffany, and Cathie; many great-nieces, relatives, and friends.
A celebration of Christine's life will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at 2332 Eastlawn Ave, Akron.
