Christine Burgess

Christine (Halman) Burgess, age 81, went to Heaven on February 15, 2013 to be with the love of her life, Dale. She was born on March 27, 1931 to George and Florence Halman. Christine graduated from Garfield High School, Class of 1949, and worked as a title clerk for 30 years prior to retirement.

Preceded in death by her parents; devoted husband, Dale L. Burgess; sons, Kevin and Kenneth Burgess; son-in-law, Maurice Spangler; sister, Florence Maloney. Survived by her son, John (Tammy) Burgess; daughters, Gloria Spangler and Laura (Howard) Tinsley; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildrens; great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Friends may call 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Friday, February 22, 2013 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the funeral home.
