Our beloved wife and mother, Christine Ann (nee Rexroad) Haught, passed peacefully on February 21, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with Huntington's Disease.
Christine was born on October 2, 1957 in Ashland, Ohio, but spent most of her life in the Akron area. She grew up in Firestone Park and graduated from Garfield High School in 1976, where she was the head cheerleader. While at Garfield, she met Glenn Haught, who she would eventually marry. Christine will always be remembered for her spot on impression of Ernestine, the telephone operator from Laugh-In. She loved her dogs and spending time with family and friends.
Christine is survived by her husband, Glenn; her children, Bryan Haught, and Lauren (Christopher) Hempfling; one granddaughter, Natalie Belle Haught; her brother, Richard (Miriam) Rexroad; and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Priscilla (nee Kienzle) Rexroad, her mother-in-law, Mary Haught, and father-in-law, Ronald Haught, and her niece, Pamela Rexroad.
The family would like to thank the staff at Longmeadow Nursing Home for their loving care.
Memorial services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 2, 2017 where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
