Christine Ann Reed, "Chrissy", age 58 of Ravenna, Ohio, died on January 9, 2023 after a long illness.
She was born on July 13, 1964 in Ravenna, the daughter of the late Shirley Jean (nee McMann) Sarka.
Chrissy was a 1982 graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School. She enjoyed cooking and backyard parties. She had a very vivacious personality and loved to laugh and make people's lives better. Her greatest joy was spending time with those she loved most, her family and friends.
Those that mourn her loss include her three children, Amber (Jason) Ponick, Brittaney (Ryan) Zickefoose and Benjamin "Ben" (Summer Henderson) Reed; her grandchildren, Alex, Kelsie, Nevaeh, Hannah and Abby.
Chrissy's siblings, Jeff Reed, Sherri Reed and Michael (Joy Treharn) Sarka; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends, also survive.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.
