Christy Rachelle Lipscomb, age 39, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and granddaughter passed away while waiting for an organ transplant on November 25, 2022 in Pensacola, Florida while surrounded by her family.
Christy was born on June 2, 1983 in Akron, Ohio
Christy leaves behind her loving parents Mark & Dawn (Lowe) Lipscomb; sister, Kaitlin (Michael) Miller; brother, Parker (Lauren) Lipscomb; grandfather, James Lowe; nieces, Elena and Sloane Miller; nephew, Vaughn Miller and extended family.
Christy had many loves and interests. She had a talent for art and enjoyed drawing. She loved playing on a recreational rugby team despite all the bumps and bruises. Christy loved her rescued bulldog, Fergus. Anyone who knew her knew she loved her coffee. She was a seasoned traveler. She lived in many places including Pensacola, FL; Atlanta, GA where she fell in love with the Braves and Falcons and became a life-long fan. She also lived in Scotland, where she fell in love with the beautiful country, the people, the culture, the bagpipes and the cows. She found true happiness and joy there. We will always remember her beautiful smile, a smile that could light up the room. She had a big heart and was fiercely loyal to anyone she counted as a friend.
Her family requests in lieu of flowers, for those who would like to honor her memory to consider making a donation to the UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing) organization. unos.org Donations are used to increase organ availability and transplantation.
Services will be held Tuesday, December 27 at 12:00 p.m. at the Event Center, 2208 East Market St., Akron OH 44312 where the family will receive guests beginning at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow the service.
