Cindy Louise Colbert

Cindy Louise (nee Edwards) Colbert, 68, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on March 12, 2022. She was born in Akron on August 15, 1953 to the late Jerry and Sylvia Edwards.
Cindy worked for the Retina Group of Northeast Ohio for close to twenty years, where she made many lifelong friends. In her free time, Cindy loved fishing, sewing, cross stitch, and rooting for the Indians. Perhaps her favorite place to visit was the beach. For many years, her family enjoyed taking trips together to Myrtle Beach. Cindy's family meant everything to her. She especially loved her role as YaYa and MomMom to her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, David Colbert; sister, Elaine Csora; and niece, Jennifer Barlow.
Cindy will be dearly missed by her children, Tracy (Jamie) Litsinger, Bernard "Jay" (Andra) Slider, Leslie Colbert, and Jean Colbert; sisters, Linda Mullins and Mary Albaugh; brother, Steve (Sharon) Edwards; grandchildren, Aaron Hackney, James Litsinger, Mercedes Slider, B.J. Slider, and Dominic Kristoff; great-grandchildren, Laila Hackney, Logan Hackney, Lucas Hackney, and Louis Litsinger; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 11-1 followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
