Clair L. Minier
Clair L. Minier, 75, passed away on December 17, 2007. He was born in Mogadore, OH on February 6, 1932 to the late William Floyd and Mildred Minier. Clair retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. after 40 years of service. He had served with the US Coast Guard. Clair was a member of Coventry Akron Lodge #83, F & AM 32nd degree, Valley of Akron, the American Legion, and the Army Navy Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 1st wife Marjorie; son Steve; and brother-in-law Walter Slider. He is survived by his wife Marjorie of 27 years; daughters Ellen (Dave) Seiler and Pamela Matwiju; brother Curt (Pat); grandchildren Cindy (Ryan) George, Kimberly Martin, Jodi (Jason) Bry, Ryan Martin, David and Cory Matwiju; great-grandchildren Tyler George, Nathan and Meagan Bryant, and Nicholas and McKenna Bry; nieces Denise (Dan) Gourley and Kathy (Mike) Summers; and nephew Rick (Vicki) Minier. The family would like to offer sincere thanks to the staff of VNS Hospice for their care and support. Calling hours will be Thursday, 5-8 p.m. and Friday, 11-12 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N.
