Claire M. Gorman
Claire M. Gorman was relieved from the pains of this mortal world, to be re-united with Jack R. Gorman, her loyal husband of 55 years. She peacefully joins her five siblings: Earl, Robert, Charles, and Albert Stone, and Lucinda Stone Schlosser. Claire worked from Fred Abrogast Fishing Lures and later joined the war effort in helping to build WW II fighter planes. Later she was also proud to hold her jobs at the Sumner Box Co. and Ostrov Shoe Co. She is survived by her sons Robert (Grace) and John R. (Donna) Gorman; grandchildren Robert (Stephanie), Jeffrey (Jennifer), Rebecca, and Daniel; great-grandchildren Benjamin, Jane-Mei, and Gracelin. Claire was deeply loved by all she met at Heather Ridge and Pebble Creek. Deepest appreciation goes to daughter-in-law Donna Gorman who was more of a daughter than any mother could want. Many thanks to the staff of the Acute Palliative Care Unit at Akron City Hospital. Family guests are invited to services at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. on Wednesday at 11 a.m., with calling hours on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
