Clara M. Riffle

Clara M. Riffle, 90, of Alliance OH, passed away January 20, 2013. She was born in Dayton, PA on December 14, 1922 to the late William and Stella Gearhart. Clara enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, trying her luck on slot machines, and traveling. She retired from Goodyear after a full career as an administrative assistant.

Clara was married to the love of her life, Herbert H Riffle, for 54 years before he passed away in 2005. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Ron Hibbs, as well as five sisters and one brother. Clara is survived by her daughter, Linda Hibbs (Larry) Marsh, grandchildren, Joy (Ron) Houchen, Janet (Jim) Harrison, Jonathan (Nichole) Hibbs, as well as her loving great-grandchildren, Erin, Eric, Jonathan, Tyler, Delanie, and Jaycie. She is also survived by her brother, William Gearhart, sisters-in-law, Joy (Don) Keener, Stella Riffle, Wilma Rifle, and Ginny Riffle, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the wonderfully caring staff at Bel-Air Care Center for the excellent care they have provided for mom over the past six years.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, January 23, from 3-4 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. with Rev. Dustin Riffle officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park at a later date.
