Clara Russell
Clara Russell, 102, of Akron, passed away October 4, 2013. She was born October 20, 1910 in Buchtel, Ohio to the late Bert and Louise Lewis. She was a longtime devoted member of Hope Church and Arlington Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and working in the nursery.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George Russell; and grandson, Mark Russell.
She will be deeply missed by her children, GeorgeAnn Witte, Jack Russell, and Don Russell; sister, Edith Johnson; six grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Monday, October 7 from 5-7 p.m. followed by a 7:00 p.m. funeral service with Pastor Donald Davies officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd.
Private interment at Crown Hill Burial Park on a later date.
