Clarice Shaffstall

Clarice S. Shaffstall, 79, passed away on August 26, 2010. She was born in Tolfree, MI on September 21, 1930. She graduated from Ontonagon High School in Ontonogan, MI in 1947 and attended South Middlesex Secretarial School in Framingham, Mass in the evening division from 1948 to 1950. Clarice graduated from the University of Akron, Magna Cum Laude in 1974. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Phi Sigma Alpha and Alpha Sigma Lambda at the University of Akron. She was employed with The Goodyear Tire an Rubber Company From 1952 to 1962. Clarice enjoyed hiking, camping, nature and birdwatching. Preceded in death by her 3 brothers, Harold, Ted, and Kenneth; 3 sisters, Gertrude, Ruth, and Elaine. Survivors include her husband, Lyle, of 52 years; sons, John and Jeffrey; sisters, Elizabeth Boettcher and June Wienandt; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 158 North Ave., Tallmadge, OH 44278.
