Clark W. Edgerly
Clark W. Edgerly, passed away March 10, 2011, one day short of his 91st birthday, surrounded by his devoted wife and children. He was an active member of the Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist for over 40 years in Akron, Ohio. Clark was an avid Euchre player in championship style, was a retiree from Ohio Edison after 38 years of service, after which he enjoyed his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Timothy Jesser; parents, Eugene and Edith Edgerly; and brother-in-law, Wallace Palmer. Clark is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Alberta; children, Roger (Barbara) Edgerly, Kathryn Jesser, and Jeffrey Edgerly; grandchildren, Kyle Edgerly, Ryan (Kelly) Edgerly, Christine Jesser, Andrew Jesser, Rachel Edgerly, and Michael Edgerly; great-grandson, Sage Edgerly; sisters, Mae Palmer, Esther (Robert) Ryan, and Ruth Darling; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Crandall Medical Center for their special loving care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Copeland Oaks Care Fund, 800 South 15th Street, Sebring, Ohio, 44672. Calling hours will be held Saturday, March 12, from 10:00 to 11:30 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a service will follow at 11:30 am with Rev. Grace Berlo officiating. Private graveside service to be held at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
