Clayton E. Powell, Jr. "Butch", age 72, died on October 11, 2019 at Barberton Citizens Hospital.
He was born on March 9, 1947 in Barberton, the son of the late Clayton E. and Sarah (nee Myford) Powell, Sr.
Clayton was a graduate of Norton High School and worked for various companies, Goodrich Rubber Company, R and R Engine and Firestone Country Club.
Survivors include his children, Kevin (Heather) Powell, Helen (Michael) Rodgers, Richard Powell and Stephanie McBride; his grandchildren, Noah, Willow, Rachel, Catherine, Katelyn, James and Dillon. His sister, Linda Weaver is also surviving.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 12:00 PM, where family and friends may visit from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
Clayton will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery in Akron.
