Cletus E. Kurtz

Cletus E. Kurtz, age 83, of Akron, Ohio, died on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Akron.

He was born on October 29, 1933, in Mogadore, Ohio, the son of the late Milton and Della Young Kurtz.

Mr. Kurtz was an honorably discharged US Navy veteran.

Cletus was retired from Goodyear.

Survivors include his daughters, Debra (Ric Miller) Braham, Susan Dunn, and Jamie Watson (Wil); his grandchildren, Ryan (Erica), Adam, Josh, Caitie, and Jessie; two great-grandchildren, Nora and Noah. His siblings also survive, Milton (Phyllis) Kurtz, Betty (Earl) Kline, and Helen Burley.

His siblings are also deceased Hazel Bowersox, Edna Reed, Grace Rusk, Walter, Elmer, and Phyllis Kurtz.

Family and friends may visit at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM and from 5:00 - 8:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at funeral home, where Pastor Dwayne Ray will celebrate Cletus' life. Family and friends may also visit from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Thursday.

Cletus will be buried at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron.
