Clifton H. "Mr. Pip" Davis, age 84 of Akron passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2021. He was born in Sumter County, AL on May 8, 1937.
Clifton was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Davis, his parents Forest Johnson, Sr. and Gussie Johnson, son-in-law Eric Sheppard, his biological mother Sophia Davis and grandchildren Candice Davis, Clifton Glover and Yusef El.
Clifton's memory will be forever cherished by his children Robin (Kim) Terry, Robert Weaver, Nancy Davis-Tucker, Candice Sheppard and Rodney Davis; grandchildren Andre Glover, Shantelle Greene, Shauntae Glover, Shauntel Glover, Elohim El-Jones, Martine Tucker, Rodney Davis Jr., Ian Hickman, Devine El, Maliq Golsby, Armani Golsby, Giovanni Golsby, Casino Golsby and Tyrone Robinson; and a host of great-grandkids, and friends that were more like brothers.
Clifton was a proud, very hard worker that never missed a day in his 37 years of his career. He was a vibrant character, that always "kept it real." Clifton loved his family, and his Southside family. He was a member of the Southside Elks Lodge.
All are welcome to visit at The Remedy Church, 1700 Brittain Rd. Akron, OH on Wednesday, August 11 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service begins at 12:00 noon. Following services, Clifton will be cremated. To leave a message for Clifton's family, please scroll below.
