Clyde William Faust, Jr.

Clyde William Faust Jr. (Bill), age 86, of Akron, Ohio, passed away Saturday, January 27th, 2024. He was born on June 6th, 1937, in Akron, Ohio, to parents Clyde and Emma Faust. Bill was a lifelong member of Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church where he previously served as a Deacon and a Sunday School teacher. Bill worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber for 35 years until he retired. He then started a lawn care business in 1984, where he provided lawn care services to his neighbors and local businesses until 2014. He was a gardener at heart and enjoyed working in his yard up until he passed. He also loved to build, and he completed numerous projects in his life, including the construction of two homes.

Bill was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Faust, and his two children, Billy (Lynn) and Emily. He is also remembered by his sister Nancy Trexler (Bob), his grandchildren, Logan and Macey, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

All of those whose lives were touched by Bill are invited to Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church (1430 Goodyear Blvd, Akron, OH 44305) on Thursday, February 8th, for visitation from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, with the service to follow at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Spina Bifida Association of Canton, Ohio, 1465 New England Drive SE, North Canton, Ohio 44720.
