Colleen Wilson, 60, went home to be with the Lord at her residence on August 7, 2010 surrounded by her loving family and friends. Colleen was born to Waldo & Jolleen Evans Wilson in Michigan. She was raised by Gerald & Pauline Evans who she called "Mom & Dad", in Tallmadge, Ohio. Preceded in death by loving husband and life long companion, Terry Davis; brothers, Louis, Adrian, and Mike; and "Mom & Dad". Colleen is survived by her son, Roger (Sara) Wilson; brothers, John (Theresa), David, and Greg; sisters, Linda, and Betty; cousin, Phyllis (Paul) McFadden; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Cleo Cummins, and Ed Vaughn; her in home nurse, Cheryl; and her dog, Bandit. Mom was a loving and caring person who cared more about helping others than herself; she liked to play cards with Dad at Aunt Taunah and Uncle Bill's. She also was a fan of football and wrestling, but most of all, she loved her family. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, August 11, from 5 to 8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Thursday, August 12, at 10 am with Pastor John Bloch officiating. She will be buried at Holy Cross Cemetery.
