Colleen R. Zito

Colleen R. Zito, 73, passed away June 27, 2021 surrounded by her family. Born in Akron to Bill and Marion (Frame) Stevens, she was a lifelong area resident. Colleen retired from Goodyear/IBM and she greatly enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. She also enjoyed her card club, gambling and her greatest joy was spending time making memories with her family.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by siblings, Billy, Charlotte, Joe and Dawn. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 53 years, Rick; children, Tracy (Gary) Reece, Ryan (Susan) Zito, Craig (Colleen) Zito; grandchildren, Toni, Jacob, Samantha, Jonah, Nick, Zack, Luca, Cole, Christian; great granddaughters, Miya, Kamryn; sister, Becky (John) Sicarz; brother in-law, Jerry (Lois) Zito; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, 2580 Berne St., Akron. The memorial mass will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Colleen's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
