Collin Tyler Abbott

Collin Tyler Abbott, 24, of Akron, passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2017. He attended Jackson Local Schools in Jackson Twp. and graduated from Akron Garfield High School in 2010. Though Collin was with us a short time, as the family's first grandchild, he was a blessing to all of us and memories of him will be cherished and bring us comfort. His bright attitude and enthusiasm brought joy to those around him and he was loved by everyone.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary Abbott.

He will be dearly missed by his parents, Susan Macken (Fred Van Brunt) and Greg Abbott (Stephanie Chadwell); younger brothers, Keagan Abbott (Katie), and Nolan Van Brunt; step-brothers, Thomas and Michael Miller; grandparents, Darlene Abbott, John and Janet Macken, and Fred and Barbara Van Brunt; aunts, Danielle and Courtney Abbott, Julie and Sara Macken; uncles, Patrick and James Macken, and many cousins, family and friends.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 5 pm until time of service beginning at 7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored to have a tree or flower planted in Collin's memory.
